CLAT Admit Card 2017: Candidates who have successfully filled in the application form of the exam can download their admit card/ hall tickets from April 20.
The online exam for admission to programmes offered by 18 participating National Law Universities (NLUs) will be held on May 14 from 3pm-5pm.
The admit card for Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2017 will be released tomorrow. CLAT is a national level exam which is conducted on rotational basis by 18 National Law Universities (NLUs). This year the CLAT exam is being organized by Chanakya National Law University (CNLU), Patna. CLAT is conducted for both UG and PG programs in law offered at the NLUs. The exams are conducted separately. This year CLAT will be conducted on May 14, 2017.
Candidates can download the admit card by visiting the official CLAT website after they are released. Click on the link for admit card and key in required details and the admit card will be displayed on the screen. Save it on your computer and take a printout.
The clat admit card will not be sent personally to the candidates by post or by any other means. Candidates must carry the admit cards to the examination venue. They must also carry proof of their identity (issued by the central or state government) such as identity card, Aadhaar Card, voter identity card, driving license, and passport etc.
The entrance test for UG programme will have 200 multiple choice questions carrying 1 marks each. The general knowledge and current affairs section and the legal aptitude section will carry 50 marks each, while the English including comprehension section and the logical reasoning section will carry 40 marks each. There will be 20 marks question in the elementary mathematics (numerical ability) section. For each wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.
There will be 150 multiple choice questions carrying 1 marks each for the entrance test for PG programme. There will be 50 questions of constitutional law, 50 from jurisprudence and 50 from other law subjects. For this too, 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
Admission to top NLUs like National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru; West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences (NUJS), Kolkata; National Law University (NLU), Jodhpur; Dr Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University (RMLNLU), Lucknow; etc take place through CLAT.

Candidates can follow the below mentioned steps to download their Admit Card-
- Visit the official website of CLAT at clat.ac.in
- Now click on the link that says, ‘CLAT 2017 Admit Card’, the link will be activated on the official website as soon as the admit cards are released
- Once your click on the activated link, enter your details in the space provided and then press submit
- As your Admit Card appears on the screen, download it and take out a print out of the same for future
Note: It is important for all candidates to carry their admit cards to the examination venue, no one will be allowed to sit for the entrance exam without it
The results of the exams will be declared on May 29.
