**Expect These 7 Mathematics Questions in JEE 2018 For Sure : **“Mathematics is one subject where if you have the basics right, there is no one that can stop you from solving all the problems swiftly.” Nowadays, students have the dilemma of priority in their mind. This is where knowledge regarding JEE Main Syllabus will let you have an upper hand.

# Expect These 7 Mathematics Questions in JEE 2018 For Sure

We have jot down for you all important questions that will sure shot appear in Mathematics section of JEE Main 2018 exam.

**Mathematical Reasoning**

Analyzing the trend from 2015, questions were asked in all different sets included Statement->Expression, Contrapositive statement, Negation of statement whereas in 2016, Contrapositive and Boolean were asked and in 2017, topics asked were Equivalent Expressions, Contrapositive.

So, as we can infer from the above analysis, the important topics in the mathematical reasoning include Tautology, Fallacy, Contrapositive Statements, Truth Table (which is basically the crux) and Equivalent Expressions. So I believe, truth table will help you find the answer for all the questions as you can expect at least 4 marks question straight from these topics in JEE Mains which can increase your rank by thousands.

**Probability**

Here, the most important concepts include the independent as well as conditional probability, Bayes’ Theorem, Classical Probability which combine to make 90% of the questions asked from Probability!

Talking about JEE Main, the most important concept included is the Classical Probability whereas in Advanced, Bayes’ Theorem is very important.

Questions on boxes are highly important like if you are given 3 boxes to arrange balls, what would be the probability of second box containing the same amount of balls with that of the third one or about dices or elements picked up from set.

These sort of questions are asked which would involve the basis Permutation and Combination which can be good enough for JEE Main.

**Definite Integration**

Integration might be nightmare for you, so that is why I am not picking the indefinite integration here.

Talking about the most important concepts in this topic, concepts like Leibnitz rule (one question that has never been skipped in JEE history!) which is basically a derivative of integration having variable limits, Limit as a Sum (asked almost all alternative years, last asked in 2016!!), Properties of Integrals (Two main properties are Odd-Even, x-> a+b-x), Reduction Formula (important to find the derivations of various higher power of integrals).

Topics might look tough, but keep in mind that all of these topics are chosen well aware of you non awareness about the topic and that you can easily learn the concepts and apply them on the question.

**Differential Equations**

Two of the most important questions include the concepts Linear Differential Equation as well as Homogenous Equations. Also, concept of Integrating Factor has been found to be present in last 4 years of JEE Mains examination. Linear Equation has appeared in most part of JEE.

**Area under curve**

Questions asked will be conceptual and not direct as asked from the NCERT in the board examinations. The important concepts, includes Functions, Graphing, Graph Transformation, Curve Tracing as well as solving the Equations or to mark the graphs.

Parabola(Line and Dual) is a frequently repeated concept which is highly recommended for preparation as it is asked every time in the JEE exam and if you are good in transformations, shifting the origin, which if you see requires conics and finally you have to the basic integration which everyone can do.

**Functions**

This is one of the most conceptual chapter in Mathematics section of JEE and it is important to understand that you will never get a direct question of domain, range or finding composite functions or inverse functions, but if you complete this chapter well conceptually, you will be able to crack the application of derivative questions as well as integration questions very easily. This is recommended to be studied as the first chapter in mathematics for preparation.

Analyzing the trend of previous year examination, composition of quadratic equations has been asked for quite a many times. So, you must be well versed with composite function, domain range functions, inequality, greatest integer function, Inverse (in term of derivate – MCQ), Periodic, Graphs and Functional Equations.

**Limits**

This is one of the chapters through which you can clear JEE with full force because there are only 5-6 things which include L-Hospital’s, Series Expansion, Limit as a Sum, In determinant Forms. If you master these things, you will definitely clear JEE Main.
