The state is being hammered by the incessant rains in Kerala for the last few days.Unprecended rainfall has created havoc in kerala, destroying many lives and property.The Indian meteorological department has issued a “Red alert” asking people to stay cautious as there is a possibility of even more heavy rains in the area of Idukki, wayanad, kannur, Ernakulam, Pallakkad and Malappuram.

Kerala floods swept many lives and property.
There is a rise in the toll of deaths from 29 to 37, due to kerala floods.
Two fishermen drowned today in the thiruvananthapuram coast, while in an another incident, body of a mother and daughter found today in a waterlogged area of their house at kuttanand in alappuzha district.
Despite this, four other bodies were found in the other parts of the state.
However in a few affected areas including pallakkad and waynad, life is taking back its normal phase with a depletion in the water flood.
Moreover, the number of people being shifted to relief camps has enhanced from 53,501 to 60,622 on Saturday. There are almost 531 relief camps in the state as of now, mainly in the area of Alappuzha, Ernakulam and wayanad districts.
The state has even gone through 25 landslides in the past few days out of which 21 were from the area of Idukki itself. Kerala is at its severe level and is facing a life replete with damages only. As per the records with the revenue official, kerala has gone through the damages of almost 1,501 houses due to heavy rains and flood. Among them 101 houses were completely distorted.
The chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan promulgated an ex-gratia of 4 lakhs bucks for the relatives of those who died in the spell of rain, also a compensation of 10 lakhs bucks will be provided to those whosoever has gone through the destruction of their houses.
The water level has come down to 2400.60 feat at the Idukki dam reservoir.
KESB officials said that they would contemplate about depleting the discharge of water only when the water level falls below 2400ft.
Mr. Pinarayi Vijayan who undertook an existing survey of this current scenario of rain ravaged areas of idukki and wayanad, said kerala was amidst the unprecedented flood havoc and the calamity has caused fathomless misery and devastation in the lives of people.
Later in his facebook wall, he posted saying agricultural loss was to the tune of crores of ruppess and several houses were damaged, too.
There was a damage of tons of bridges and roads as well, he said.
It would take months to make all things and life as normal as it was before. Also, help and assistance from all quarters was needed.
The state never had faced this level of calamity in its entire life, he also added that it was for the first time in the state’s history that sluice gates of 27 dams were opened.
The entire state is working in unison to be able to provide drinking water, food and clothes to the people living in the relief camps, he added.
Moreover, an aerial survey of flood hit will be undertaken by the union home minister Mr.Rajnath Singh to take stock of the state in southern state. The CM of the kerala will also discuss the situation with him.
In a telephonic conversation yesterday, Singh had assured Vijayan that the situation will be dealt in an accurate way.
